Starting in 2026, the Val di Non will host Intacture, Europe’s first underground data center, located within an active mine. As part of the broader TERA ecosystem, this project embodies a visionary approach to circular economy, environmental sustainability, and digital transformation. The mine’s recovery and adaptation design were managed by GDP. With a constant natural temperature of 12°C and the protective properties of dolomitic rock, Intacture ensures energy efficiency, data security, and minimal landscape impact. A public-private partnership that brings together research and local excellence to shape Italy’s digital future.
