GDP will be at the conference of the Italian Geological Society in Padua, where on September 18th it will participate in the contributions of the session “S24. Integrating the reference geological model in civil engineering projects: approaches and applications”, of which it is the proposer and organizer. This session was born from the observation that in recent years, in Italy, the sector of medium-large civil works has experienced a significant boost with a considerable increase in both projects and construction sites started and works in progress or completed. Therefore, it is increasingly essential that the various phases of design and construction of the works are undertaken starting from a corresponding solid Reference Geological Model (RGM), which also serves as the basic tool for an adequate identification of execution costs and construction risks. The session gathers a significant number of contributions presented by geologists and academics operating in the field of civil engineering.
