On October 19th, at the Forte di Fenestrelle, the GDP day took place, the usual annual event during which we share some of the most relevant aspects of the GDP-GEOMIN work in the fields of mining and civil engineering. This year, the day was enriched by the participation of Prof. Rodolfo Carosi and Prof. Chiara Montomoli from the Department of Earth Sciences of Turin, who presented the first results of the CARG Pinerolo Sheet, currently being drafted.

On October 20th, together with Davide Dana, a PhD student from the Department of Earth Sciences of Turin, a geological excursion was held in the Vallone del Bourcet (Chisone Valley), aimed at presenting the most interesting areas of the northern sector of the Pinerolo Sheet from the point of view of emerging geological discoveries. The two days highlighted the importance of basic geological knowledge in studies and projects in the fields of mining and civil engineering.
