NA-BA doubling of the railway line

Apice-Hirpinia Lot

The project deals with the construction of the Naples-Bari High Speed/High Capacity railway line related with Naples-Bari-Lecce-Taranto itinerary, included in the Scandinavian-Mediterranean corridor of the European transport network (TEN-T).
The Apice-Hirpinia Lot includes the construction of overall 18 km of works, among which 12 km consist of tunnels. In this area the geological studies for the final design project realization have been performed in a context of high geomorphological and structural complexity, due to the presence of numerous faults and landslides.
