Piangelassa spring – Gravere Municipality (Susa Valley – Italy)
Study for the improvement of the water discharges
The Piangelassa spring (1536 m.a.s.l.) is situated on the right orographic side of the Susa Valley (TO). This potable water resource supplies the Gravere municipality (around 700 inhabitants) and supports the electric production of a microhydro plant.
The spring flow is very variable during the seasonal cycle. Therefore, the municipality has commissioned a study with the aim of improving the spring discharge in order to stabilize the water and electricity supply throughout the year.
