GDP-GEOMIN has won the study for the construction of the Einstein Telescope.
GDP-GEOMIN, together with a consortium of companies led by Rocksoil Spa, has been awarded the study for the construction of an underground telescope, the Einstein Telescope, for which Italy is a candidate to host it in Sardinia in a vast area of Nuoro.
The Einstein Telescope is one of the main European research projects with a global scientific impact. It is the large underground infrastructure for the future third-generation gravitational wave detector.
In the study, GDP-GEOMIN will take care of aspects related to the planning of underground investigations and the characterization of the geological and hydrogeological context.
