GRETA – near-surface Geothermal Resources in the Territory of the Alpine space

Interreg Alpine Space Project

The GRETA Project aimed at increasing the knowledge on the spatial distribution of NSGE (Near-Surface Geothermal Energy) potential in the area of the Alpine territory. The objectives of the project are the exchanging knowledge and best-practices on a transnational base (6 involved countries) and the development of tools for the integration of the geothermal energy within national energy plans.
GDP-GEOMIN carried out the assessment of potential of NSGE systems (groundwater wells and closed-loop systems) on the Monza-Brianza Province (published online on the Regione Lombardia geoportal http://www.cartografia.servizirl.it/arcgis2/rest/services/ambiente/geoenergetica/MapServer) and collaborated to the editing of technical guidelines for the use of the NSGE systems.
