Doubling of the railway line Taormina – Giampilieri Lot 2

The project deal with the doubling of the Taormina – Giampilieri line and the disposal of the existing one between Letojanni and Giampilieri. The total lenght is around 28.3 km, of which 25 km are underground. The projects foresee the excavation of 8 tunnels, single- and double-tube, of which 5 are drilled by means of TBM-EPB and 3 by means of traditional method. About 1,7 km consist of viaducts, 1 km of embankments and 190 m of trenchs.
