Seismotectonic model of the Mont Blanc sector

Alcotra Risval Project

The study has been developed in the frame of the Alcotra “Risval” Project that deals with detailed analyses aimed at improving the knowledge of the seismic hazard over the sectors comprised between Italian and French Alps.
The seismic events that occurred along the Mont Blanc massif in the period comprised between 2010-2019 have been analysed in collaboration with the GEAmb spin-off of the Genova University. A seismotectonic model of Mont Blanc massif has been proposed and analysed in the frame of the crustal dynamics available in the scientific literature for this Western Alps sector.
